Best manifestation apps for iPhone (2026)

By Necati Dogrul · Updated 12 September 2026 · US App Store rating counts read via Apple's public iTunes lookup API on 12 September 2026

Disclosure: I develop Manifesta, which is last on this list. It is placed last because it has the fewest ratings. The list is ordered by rating count, not by my opinion.

The one thing most lists get wrong

Almost every app in this category sells the pleasant half of a practice that research says only works as a whole. In Gabriele Oettingen's studies on mental contrasting, people who only imagined the positive outcome ended up with less energy and effort toward it; the group that imagined the outcome and then named the obstacle in the way did measurably better. Adding an if-then plan ("if X happens, I will Y") improved follow-through further. This is the WOOP method: Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, Plan.

Affirmation feeds, dream-life audio and vision boards are all the "Wish and Outcome" half. Nothing wrong with that as a daily mood ritual. But if you want the practice to change what you do, look for the step where the app makes you write down what will get in the way. Most do not have one.

Second thing: these are three different product types. Affirmation feeds (I am, Mantra, Soul), coaching and audio (Stella, Aya, Vix, Manifest) and boards and journals (Vision Board, Myla, Manifesta). Star ratings compare happiness within a type, not across them.

How to choose

You want the biggest, simplest thing: I am. Three quarters of a million ratings, affirmations through the day, done.

You want to hear it, not read it: Stella (generated audio narratives) or Aya (a daily voice persona). Both are subscription products built around listening.

You want a picture on your Lock Screen: Vision Board & Goal Tracker, or Myla if you also want the 369 method and meditation in one place.

You want the obstacle-and-plan step, in your own voice: Manifesta. It asks what is in the way before it lets you release the wish, and it closes the loop when the wish comes true. I built it, so weigh that accordingly.

Method

Rating counts and averages are from the US App Store via Apple's public iTunes lookup API, read on 12 September 2026, rounded to one decimal. Product descriptions are from each app's own store listing. The research summary refers to Oettingen's published work on mental contrasting and implementation intentions; Manifesta's design draws on it but is not a clinical tool. Nothing here was sponsored.
